Job Description -Support the Expense Management function at Co's including budgeting, reporting, and monitoring the actual spending against budget.
-Contributes, as a team member of Expense Management team, to generate the accurate financial reports and provide the insightful & applicable analysis for management to make an appropriate decision for Co's financial health and growth.
• Reporting and Budgeting (90%)
• Perform the assigned activities of the Expense Management function with integrity and timeliness while in compliance to policies/procedures in order to support business decisions and delivery of financial performance (VONB, EV, OPAT).
• Coordinate the process of budgeting VE&GOE by each channel &department in accordance to the company’s target as well as the company’s policies/procedures.
• Monitor/control the actual spending and analyze the variance of the actual results against budgets to obtain explanations.
• Produce the quarterly/monthly management reports as well as budget packages on timely basis.
• Review the various schemes on VE or projects proposed by channels to check the reasonableness of cost & benefit and help management to make an appropriate business decision in compliance with the company’s policies/procedures.
• Prepare the expense study by functions of each department then, allocate GOE by LOB and channel.
• Answer enquires related to Byline’s VE&GOE related matters. Support the analysis of expense overrun for VONB and EV.
• Engage in system development and modification to meet the changing requirements.
• Make a presentation for expense management. Handle ad hoc tasks related to expense reporting assigned by supervisor.
• Other responsibilities (10%)
• Performs other ad hoc responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.
Job Requirement Job Requirements
• University degree holder, Major in business administration, accounting or statistics preferred
• Minimum of 5 years working experience, experience in insurance firm is a plus
• Proficient in Excel and database management is an added advantage
• Able to meet tight work schedule and mange multi-tasks under pressure
• Ability to complete assignments timely and accuracy of figures
• Independent, detail-oriented, adaptive, innovative and a team-player
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
